Wearing
authentic Scottish costumes rented from the Harlequin Costume and
Dance Company of Winnepeg, Canada, members of the wedding party
perform a dance in honor of the nuptuals. The traditional kilt
of tartan has changed from that of ancient Scottish clothing. Called
a plaid, it was originally a rectangle of cloth about six feet wide
and held in place by a belt around the waist. (Photo by Lynn

Perhaps the most unusual person in the village of Brigadoon is
Meg Brocke, a lonely milkmaid looking to Jeff Douglas for a little companionship. Lisa Ann
Bolte entertained audiences by explaining the uniqueness of her "Mother's Wedding
Day." Terry (Catfish) Maney, who portrayed Douglas, used his witty sarcasm to steal
certain scenes of the production. (Photo by Lynn Bonack)

Keeping with Scottish wedding tradition, three young kilted men
perform the sword dance as young maidens weave among them. Moments later the stage erupted
in anger and jealousy, wrecking havoc on the celebration. (Photo by Lynn
